UTICA: A post-industrial city that is alive with a love of music, the arts, the great outdoors, food, and fun. Beneath the surface lives a vibrant group of thriving, fun-loving young agents of change. This next generation of future council people, mayors, and patrons-of-the-arts is currently busy sewing their wild oats. After a couple of decades of bonding, good times, and things happening on the road (that will stay on the road, thank you), these people will lead the city. Until then, they have their hands full with UC hockey games, Saranac Thursdays, St Pat’s parades gone slight awry, and stuff like that. Don’t despair, they’ll all be OK when things get serious.

Almost forgot...Utica is the home of tremendous food, including some specialties that can only be found here. Do avail yourself of these local delicacies: chicken riggies, Utica greens, tomato pie, and pusties.

URBAN GOLF: A counter-cultural celebration of fun in the city. Golf is not the exclusive domain of wealthy, old, Madras-clad suburbanites. Nay, it belongs to us all. Refusing to relinquish the macadam-clad urban core, a cadre of visionaries map out courses within their respective metropoli and commence to doing what many say is not to be done. They golf – right on the streets. Yes, some people use their city to work, others to squeegee windshields, but a growing cadre enjoys a good walk, paved.
